VAN Diemans Land (Auto)

Deb and Pete, and their van, have been amazing. Pete arrived with the van on time and provided all the information we needed plus hints and tips on where to go and what to see. The van is brilliant. Solid diesel engine for comfortable driving, space to suit our needs and everything included (bedding, cooking, eating and even some basics to get started) to make our holiday. Even with some less than appealing weather, the van was comfortable, reliable and fun. Thank you so much for having us Deb & Pete. Well be sure to recommend your van to anyone looking at an easy holiday in Tasmania!!

We had such a great experience with this van! It had everything we needed (plates, bowls, utensils, camp chairs, table, the lot!) for our 3 week holiday around Tassie, bonus points for a very comfortable bed. Pete was a very friendly host, providing us with local knowledge locations & tips. He was very flexible & easy to communicate with. Thank you Deb & Pete!

We had a great holiday in the van. Drove well, nice bed, a good size and all we needed for several days touring the north of Tassie. Deb and Peter were very easy to deal with.

The van was great - all the basics covered. It was easy to use over our ten day trip. The extras like towels and an in-built water tank made it even easier. The vehicle was fuel efficient. A favourite feature was the portable electric heater (only used when we had a powered site). It made the van toasty warm in the mornings. Deb and Pete were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The hand over was informative and easy. Dropping the van back was easy too (leaving the key in a lock box meant it didnt matter what time we arrived back). Thanks for a great experience, Deb and Pete. We love Tassie!

I had a great holiday driving around Tassy in this van. It's really the perfect size, big enough for a small kitchen and fridge, but small enough to fit easily in all the places I wanted to go without sticking out too much. 10/10 would rent again. Deb / Pete were super easy to communicate with, easy pickup, easy drop-off...no hassles. It was kind of cold in Tas while I was there and the hot water bottle they included kept me nice and warm at night as well.

Quaint and functional van! Perfect for our needs and worked really well for a winter holiday in Tas. Communication was brilliant with Deb and Pete despite a couple of initial hiccups and everything was so smooth. Appreciate all that they've done :)

Travelling 2000kms around Tasmania in this beauty was comfortable, reliable with everything we needed. Glove box full of brochures and information helped us along our way. Pete was awesome to deal with, genuine & super helpful bloke! Thanks again!

We had a great holiday in the Van. Deb was very helpful and responsive with any questions I had. The van was well maintained and we had no mechanical issues. For a small living space every item supplied was well thought out and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. This van was just great to travel Tasmania as the small size meant we could drive to places that larger vehicles could not. We met Deb and her husband at handover and they were such lovely people. I would hire from them again in a heartbeat.

Deb and Pete have been nothing short of amazing. I genuinely cannot fault either their van or their incredible kindness and communication. I wholeheartedly recommend this van 10000%! This was my first van trip, and I didnt feel like I was missing a single thing : massive for me to say! The way theyve designed and built the van is simply perfect: comfortable, smart, and ticking all the boxes for a road trip. Having a sink for morning face cleanups and doing dishes, a wide bench in the van to enjoy meals with a view, and curtains that were super easy to set up and take down, its all so thoughtfully done. The kitchen setup is fantastic, with every appliance and utensil you could need, plus a well-stocked pantry of essentials like tea bags, coffee, olive oil, salt, pepper, and even tissues and toilet paper. Seriously, what more could you ask for? The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved transforming it back into a couch/bench - it made meals and downtime so cozy and enjoyable. The van is very easy to drive, has tons of storage, and comes with so many thoughtful accessories for phones and camping; things you wouldnt even think of needing until theyre right there! Above all, Deb and Pete were exceptional hosts. They were incredibly responsive to inquiries both before and during the trip, accommodating any requests and providing excellent recommendations and tips for places to visit and experiences to try. This is the little van that can! We took it for a whirlwind ten days tour right around Tassie from the coast, down into Corinna, and right up to Cradle Mountain - not once did it falter. Inside, Pete and Deb have kitted this out with all the creature comforts including a surprisingly roomy little fridge. We never had to worry about power with the solar system, even after a cloudy day or two it was still ticking over just fine. The cabinetry is full of savvy storage, millimetre precise, and didn't ever get in the way of anything. There wasn't a single moment where we thought "I wish something was here, or that this thing was somewhere else." Between the curtains and doona, we never had a cold night. It was quick to set up or pack down each night, which made it great to stop somewhere for lunch and just toss the awning out with the chairs and table to enjoy the views. Driving the van itself was great. The diesel engine has plenty of power and sails along at highway speed. The turning circle is neat, the steering is smooth, and the selective lower gearing gives you a little more control for any particularly steep ascent or descent. We couldn't have had a better van for our trip! We know we will be back, and when we return we're definitely going to try take Van Dieman for more adventures!

The van was incredibly comfortable to both drive and sleep in. The owners had thought carefully about the layout which made the van super practical and user friendly. The van was easy to drive, was economical and had reverse cameras for easy parking. The little kitchen in the van was very easy to use and enough room to move around but also had the added pull out kitchen at the back, perfect for outdoor cooking. I'm usually a fussy sleeper, but was impressed with the thick and supportive mattress on the pull out bed. The van had everything I needed, from kitchen utensils, camp chairs, awning and even a hot water bottle! Handy for winter camping! Deb and Pete were great to communicate with. Very organised, friendly and helpful. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to hire from them again!
