Birdie - (I'm automatic)

Birdie was perfect for our week road-tripping through Tasmania. She's cozy but with all the things that you need for bush camping. Easy to use and easy to drive. Deb and Pete also gave a great handover along with some local tips. Highly recommend.

I rented from Pete and Deb just four weeks before this one, and Ill be back. This van is easy to use, well presented and functional. I had a great time and Pete is helpful and easy to contact and work with.

I was so comfortable exploring Tasmania in "Birdie". The van was easy to drive, with everything I needed. The pantry was well equipped with lots of extras, in case I needed anything. My trip was unplanned, but I was able to pick Birdie up at very short notice. The local tips/camp sites the hosts gave me were awesome, and the locations made my holiday amazing. I loved travelling in Birdie. I felt at home, and even though she's a little run down, o think it added to the charm of my adventure. Thank you!

Birdie was definitely one of the highlights of our beautiful trip. Very organized, clean, cozy and all utensils provided. Deb and Pete were very kind and communicating all over the trip, likewise during it. All information handed over and some great tips as well. Looking forward for an other opportunity to ride Birdie again!

All we could have asked for and more! very comfortable and warm inside the van at night, and absolutely no issues with the car. But my favourite part is that it has everything you could ever need, Deb has thought of everything.

Van was perfect! Pick up was easy in Launceston CBD, driving Birdie was easy and comfortable. Camping and sleeping and room in the van was very comfortable and spacious. We drove to the East side of Tassie, then around the north east and up to Stanley in the northwest before heading up to cradle Mountain. Then back to Launceston for a drop off. Deb and Pete were excellent to deal with and were very quick replying to any questions. Birdy was perfect size for the two of us and would certainly book again. Five stars to Birdie Deb and Pete.

The van is perfectly mechanically sound and drives well. The bed and pillows were as comfy as a real bed. All linens were provided (enough blankets, sheets, towels) and more than warm enough. Theres a really well stocked pantry with cooking essentials and all cooking utensils and supplies that you may need. Fridge, sink and cooker worked well. Theres loads of storage. The table and chairs provided were in great condition. There was several small things that need fixing to enhance the experience. Broken cupboard knobs. Broken fly screens which mean there was only one window we could open without getting bombarded with mosquitos. The exhaust vent on the roof is uncleaned and fully blocked, so we needed to cook with the door/windows open, allowing in the mozzies. The windows are very sticky and hard to open. Majority of the press studs that hold the curtains open are broken. We just looped them to tie the curtains open, but they come loose as you drive over bumps. The sliding door latch is faulty and sometimes takes half a dozen attempts to open, and sometimes we had to lock and unlock the car to get it to work (not ideal when youre stuck inside the van). The front support panel of the bedwas broken on our arrival, meaning one piece of the bed frame wouldnt stay in place and would collapse if you put any weight on it. My partner bought screws and fixed it himself. The microwave is extremely old and sounds like its about to die; it made an awful sound when we tried to use it, so we were too scared to use in case it was a fire hazard. Note: there is NO inverter on this van, so the microwave, kettle etc only work if you go to a powered side. The hosts were really great and helpful and kind. The communication was great and they made the pick up and drop off really easy.

Reliable and perfect lil van for a Tassie holiday, has everything youd need and owners are friendly and more than willing to point you in the right direction.

Our experience in Tazzie was fantastic and only made better by our great van Birdie! The van was so easy to drive, comfy as to sleep in (with good pillows!) and major benefit that she's a high top. The van was tidy spacious and had everything we could need. Thank you for such an easy experience Deb & Peter :)

We hired Birdie for 2 weeks to travel around the state and had the best time!! The van had everything we needed and was super easy to drive. Pete and Deb were amazing to deal with and wed definitely go through them again if we ever come back!!

Had a blast in this little van, Deb and Pete made everything so simple and easy and the van had absolutely everything we needed to do our little lap of Tassie while staying comfortable warm and dry! Could not recommend this van enough and will definitely hire again when we come back to Tassie!
